Client BackgroundA restaurateur from Milan with years of running kitchens and margins, and no degree.
Client PlanTo open a single outlet in Singapore and hold the pass himself as owner-director.
ProblemA degree is not required, but COMPASS awards points for one, so those points had to come from somewhere else.
How We HelpedWe incorporated a real operating company with a signed lease, set his salary deliberately above his age band, and made his operating record the substance of the case.

ProblemNo degree, and COMPASS scores for one — those points had to come from somewhere else.
How We HelpedA degree is not a legal requirement for an Employment Pass, but COMPASS awards points for one, and an applicant without it must make those points up elsewhere. We incorporated a real operating company with a signed lease and a business plan rather than a holding shell, set his director’s salary deliberately above his age band, and evidenced his operating record as the substance of the application.
OutcomeEmployment Pass approved on a salary set about 15% above the band for his age, with no degree in the file. The outlet opened roughly four months after incorporation.
